On behalf of the Organizing Committee members and Société Centrale de Réassurance, I am pleased to invite you to Marrakesh on this special occasion of the Twentieth Conference of the Afro-Asian Federation of Insurance and Reinsurance, which will take place from October 18 th to 20 th , 2007.

The year of 2006 was an important year for the insurance industry worldwide.

In Morocco , new insurance laws were introduced and implemented.

This conference represents a unique opportunity for the Afro-Asian area, where delegates and F.A.I.R members will discuss their respective accomplishments since the Nineteenth Conference ( India , September 2005).

The participants will also talk about the challenges, opportunities and threats facing the industry in Asia and Africa .

The conference theme « Opportunities and Threats in Insurance and Reinsurance in the FAIR markets” will raise issues to be discussed in depth by the participants and the speakers.

The imperial city of Marrakesh , being both historic and modern, with its fresh air and its moderate climate, is the right place to hold such events and an amazing environment to embrace professional meetings for the re/insurance players.
